2023 NBA 2K24 Summer League: Everything to Know
From Salt Lake City, Sacramento to Las Vegas, the NBA is ready to ball out this summer. With the 2023 NBA Draft in the rearview mirror and free agency underway, it’s time to turn our attention to the NBA Summer League. This annual event offers a sneak peek into the future of the NBA, as rookies from this year’s draft class make their debut with their new teams. It also provides a platform for second- and third-year players to showcase their skills and for undrafted players to prove themselves.
The NBA Summer League will be held in three locations: Sacramento, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas. Each location has its own set of teams and schedule. Let’s break down the key details for each event.
California Classic Summer League
The California Classic Summer League will take place in Sacramento at the Golden 1 Center. This year, the event features six teams: Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Sacramento Kings. The games will be played on July 3 and 5.

Format
All six teams will play on July 3 and 5, with triple-header action starting at 6 p.m. ET. The games will have 10-minute quarters, limited timeouts, and modified rules. This includes increased personal and team foul limits.
How to Watch
Each day of the California Classic will open with a game on ESPN2, followed by a doubleheader on ESPN starting at 8 p.m. ET. Tickets start at $22 and include access to all three games played on that date. Tickets can be purchased online at Key Players to Watch
The California Classic welcomes two new teams – the Spurs and Hornets – who had the top two picks in the 2023 NBA Draft. Although Victor Wembanyama, the No. 1 overall pick, will debut with the Spurs in Las Vegas, the No. 2 pick Brandon Miller will play for the Hornets in Sacramento. Other notable rookie players to watch include Nick Smith Jr., Amari Bailey, and James Nnaji from the Hornets; Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis for the Lakers; Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis for the Warriors; Jaime Jaquez Jr. for the Heat; Sidy Cissoko for the Spurs; and Colby Jones and Jalen Slawson for the Kings. Don’t forget to keep an eye on second-year players like Sacramento’s Keegan Murray, the MVP of last year’s NBA 2K23 Summer League, and other rising stars from the Lakers, Spurs, Heat, and Hornets. The Salt Lake City Summer League will be held at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The participating teams are the Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, and Utah Jazz. The games will be played on July 3, 5, and 6. The Salt Lake City Summer League features a three-day round-robin showcase, with all four teams playing each day.
