Statement Regarding Gino Mäder

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gino Mäder, a talented cyclist and a shining star in the cycling community. Gino lost his battle to recover from severe injuries sustained during a serious crash in stage 5 of the Tour de Suisse. This tragic accident has left the entire team devastated, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Gino’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Athlete, Determination, and Inspiration
Gino Mäder was not just an extraordinary athlete, but also a prime example of determination and resilience. His talent, dedication, and passion for the sport were an inspiration to all of us. He was a valued member of Team Bahrain and played an integral role in the cycling community as a whole. It is a tremendous loss for the sport and for all those who knew him.

Managing Director Milan Erzen expressed the team’s devastating loss and paid tribute to Gino’s exceptional character.
